The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) of Pakistan is a constitutional body that is responsible to conduct recruitment exams for all government jobs in Pakistan. It is a regulatory authority, created by Article 240 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973 under the Federal Public Service Commission FPSC Jobs Ordinance (1973) with the mandate to regulate and supervise the federal public services.
Federal Public Service Commission Pakistan is the select authority tasked with the responsibility of recruiting Federal Government employees. The Commission was established on 20th October 1947 under the Federal Public Service Commission Ordinance, 1947. The Commission is mandated with the responsibility to ensure merit and fair representation in the recruitment of officers in federal services. It also aims at examining, determining, and managing the grievances relating to violations of rules, regulations, instructions, and directions by Federal Government Departments/Organizations/Officers, etc.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is responsible for the selection of Pakistan’s civil service. The FPSC is the highest merit-based selection commission in Pakistan which is empowered to determine, appoint, promote, and transfer officers of civil services in Pakistan.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Jobs was established on the recommendations of the Government of Pakistan, as part of its initiative to streamline the recruitment process in the federal government. The FPSC is tasked with conducting competitive exams for appointment to the Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) and allied services. The FPSC also conducts examinations for recruitment to officers’ cadre of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
